In a surprising turn of events, football star and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, has impressively clinched his first Billboard #1 hits. His charity remake of The Pogues’ classic, “Fairytale of New York,” reimagined as “Fairytale of Philadelphia,” has brilliantly topped the Billboard Rock Digital Songs Sales chart. Remarkably, it's even outselling a newly released track by The Beatles, “Now and Then.”
This musical gem has also secured the #1 spot on the Holiday Digital Song Sales chart, showcasing its wide appeal by surpassing festive favorites from Meghan Trainor, Cher, and the Queen of Christmas herself, Mariah Carey.
The song is a key highlight of the upcoming benefit album, 'A Philly Special Christmas Special', set for release on December 1. Besides featuring Travis’s brother, Philadelphia Eagle Jason Kelce, the album also includes contributions from other Eagles members and Philadelphia's musical legend, Patti LaBelle.
All proceeds from the vinyl sales of this heartwarming album will benefit two noble causes: the Children’s Crisis Treatment Center’s toy drive and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s snowflake station, ensuring that the spirit of giving resonates beyond the music.
